My name is Martin and I live in the Netherlands. I am generation X so I am old now. Used to grow up with 8-bit home computers, transition to the 16-bit era, and of course Nintendo’s Game & Watch series of toys. Thank god retro is still hip.
Did ZX BASIC programming as a child, some game design as a teen and then I became an adult. Did years of professional IT and consultancy work, web development, Mac development, iPhone development, nerd stuff. Have worked for bosses, was a boss and CTO myself, was a freelancer too.
Known for unconventional opinions and behaviours. I don’t use dark mode, I avoid using the Terminal as much as possible. I don’t put comments in code. I don’t use CocoaPods or indeed any type of library-dependency tools. I understand design people and end users and cater to them as a tech person.
I tried to find cool YouTubers of my age and level of nerdiness. Did not find. So I had to do it myself. So here we are.
